4th of July Birthday Card

Happy Sunday! For a while I will be posting for the SumMore Fun blog on Sundays instead of my regular Wednesdays. This weekend, through Monday, you can get the Raisin Boat Red, White & Blue stamp set at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:

I started with a white piece of cardstock and stamped the fireworks image from the Red, White & Blue set with VersaMark.  Two of them I heat embossed with gold powder, and the other 3 I embossed with a silver glitter powder.  I love how the gold looked on the white, but once the ink blending took place, the silver glitter was definitely more showy.  I then used Distress Oxides in Fossilized Amber, Candied Apple, and Blueprint Sketch to blend with brushes on the fireworks.  I then came back in with Chipped Sapphire DO to fill in the rest of the night sky, then blended Black Soot DO around the outside edge.  I also sealed the ink with a few light sprays of Mod Podge matte clear acrylic sealer so the ink wouldn't rub off.

 The sentiment stamp was also from Red, White & Blue, I simply masked off the USA at the bottom right portion of the stamp since this is going to be for my dad whose birthday is July 4th!  Once stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, I heat embossed the sentiment with black powder.  I wound Celebration Trendy Twine in a circle and glued it to the card front before adhering the sentiment banner with foam tape.  The final touches were GMD New Years Sparkle enamel dots.

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Keep Smiling Treat

Good Thursday morning! Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with this darling treat packet. I used some of our featured twine of the month, Posy Trendy Twine, on it.

I started out with a Posy Treat Packet and adhered an adorable Round Brown Country Bear Vintage Inspired Tag to the lower front.  I added a stamped sentiment from the APB Choose Happy stamp set to the top flap.  The bag that is included with the treat packets holds 3 rolls of Smarties candies perfectly!

I used a hole punch to make the holes in both the flap and underlying cardstock layers.  I placed Krazy for Kraft Trendy Page Dots around those holes then laced the flap shut and tied a bow with Posy Trendy Twine.  The finishing touch was a few Raspberry Cupcake Sequins adhered with mini glue dots.  Didn't it turn out sweet?

Strawberry Daiquiri Card

Happy Sunday!   For a while I will be posting for the SumMore Fun blog on Sundays instead of my regular Wednesdays.  We will be having weekend promos in which a certain stamp set will be free with your order of $35+.  Awesome, right?!  This weekend, through Monday, you can get the Raisin Boat Guilty Pleasures at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:

I started by stamping the strawberry daiquiri and swirl stamp over and over on an entire 8.5x11" sheet of red cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  That way I can make 4 of these cards!  I added white gel pen accents and glitter green Wink Of Stella pen to add color to the stamped red paper.

After die cutting the red and green layers with Gina Marie Designs dies, I stamped another daiquiri onto white cardstock and colored it in with Tombow Markers.  I die cut and layered that with Cottage Cutz dies.  I popped the oval up with foam tape and added two horizontal banners, one with a sentiment from the Guilty Pleasures stamp set, and the other a pink that matched the colored daiquiri.  The finishing touch was three GMD Winter Sparkle enamel dots.  Don't you just love all the bits of sparkle and shine on this card?!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Cherry Blossom Note Card

Good Thursday morning! Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with this sweet little note card. I used a small bow of our featured twine of the month, Posy Trendy Twine. Usually I use lots of Trendy Twine on my projects, but a dainty project called for a dainty amount of twine!

I started with a Natural Scallop Note Card since I wanted a rustic look to this project. I first stamped the sentiment from APB Choose Happy set in black, then stamped the cherry blossoms and branch from the Raisin Boat Cherry Blossom stamp set. The ink colors I used were Scrapbook.com's Sugar Cookie and Pink Lemonade. I was so happy with how well the pink ink matched the Posy Trendy Twine! I fussy cut and popped up the blossoms for added dimension. I inked the edges of the note card with the Sugar Cookie ink then embellished with a bow of the Posy Trendy Twine and gold pearl pen dots.

Crocus Craving Stamps Free with Purchase!

Hello friends!  For a while I will be posting for the SumMore Fun blog on Sundays instead of my regular Wednesdays.  We will be having weekend promos in which a certain stamp set will be free with your order of $35+.  Awesome, right?!  This weekend, through Monday, you can get the SMF Crocus Craving stamp set at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:

I stamped the large flower from Crocus Craving in black onto watercolor cardstock.  Using a post-it note, I masked off the bottom of the crocus bud stamp and also stamped it onto the paper with a stamp platform.  I then watercolored the image with Scrapbook.com hybrid inks in Rubber Ducky, Mardi Gras, and Pine.  The sentiment is also from the Crocus Craving set.  I mounted the image onto gradient colors of purple cardstock that were die cut with GMD stitched rectangle dies.  To finish the card, I added three small rhinestones in the top right corner.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Mini Sweet Treats

Good Thursday morning!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with these super adorable Mini Pillow Box treats.  Those Mini Pillow Boxes are brand new and so itty bitty and adorable!!  They are our featured packaging item this month along with Posy Trendy Twine.

First of all, I used Nestle Peppermint Filled Baking Truffles (from the baking section) to fill the Mini Pillow Boxes.  Each one held 5 of the baking truffles, which I felt was the perfect amount.  I then added a mini Glue Dot to the front of the box, wrapped Posy Trendy Twine around it, added a button die cut and tied a bow with the Posy.  On a small banner, I stamped a sentiment from the APB Happy Halloween stamp set using Scrapbook.com Glass Slipper ink and attached that to the box with a mini Glue Dot as well.  Easy peasy and super adorable in a mini way!

Butterfly Mother's Day Card

Hello all! I am back on the SumMore Fun blog today. I don't know about you, but Mother's Day really snuck up on me this year. Trying to keep up with homeschooling for three kids and a toddler has really thrown off my card making game LOL! Anyway, I decided to make a couple of these cards to send out quick for Mother's Day this year.

I used the SumMore Fun Stimulus package for the beautiful patterned paper as well as the top sentiment stamp (No Loss For Words stamp set). Other SumMore Fun products used include the butterfly stamp from the RB Imagine set, RB Marvelous Mom stamp set (lower sentiment) and glitter Pearl Pen.

For inks, I used Scrapbook.com inks in Caribbean and Mermaid for the butterfly and Versafine Onyx Black for the sentiments. I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut around the butterfly then mounted it on a small doily die cut. Before adding that to the card with foam tape, I glued some wraps of Tickled with Teal Trendy Twine to the card for a little extra visual interest.
