Shaped Snowman Card

Good morning to all my crafty friends!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  I have some thank you cards to send out after the holiday season, so this is one of those cards that I will be mailing.  The card file is from SVG Attic's Winter Illuminations kit.
This card was very easy to assemble!  I opted to use the front panel without the stitching holes.  I used patterned papers from DCWV's Blue Noel stack and a ribbon for the scarf.  Adhesives used include Scotch Tacky Glue and Glue Dots Glue Lines (for the ribbon).  I also stamped a sentiment from APB Let It Snow stamp set in black in the lower left corner.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Winter Thanks Card

Good Morning!
Due to medical reasons, SumMore Fun is making changes. They're liquidating the stamp sets and selling off the expo and red rubber side of the business. Know someone who might be interested? Have them contact SumMore Fun.

They're keeping the stamp rentals and the monthly clubs. If you want to rent their fabulous stamp set designs, visit www.rentsummorefun.com.

Subscribe to the SumMore Fun newsletter for details of which stamps are being discounted and when.

Because of this we will no longer be running monthly challenges. The design team will still be sharing their inspiration using our stamps so you can see the possibilities with them...

My inspiration card uses the Victorine Originals Watercolor Snowman set.
My use of markers was to use those instead of ink pads with the stamps to create this pretty background!  I used the lighter blue Tombow marker for the snowflakes and the darker blue and silver markers for the snowflake dots over the whole white paper.
Other products used were patterned paper, vellum, glitter paper, stitched rectangle dies, thanks dies and adhesives.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Pine Tree Silhouette Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses their Raisin Boat Merry Nature stamp set.
I started out by stamping the trees and the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossing it with WOW White Pearl embossing powder.  It makes such a beautiful pearly silver look!  Then I used Distress Oxide inks in Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Black Soot to blend in a winter night look.
I splashed water on the background, making the Distress Oxides lift a bit, then added dots of liquid applique so it looked like snow.  I mounted the stamped rectangle onto a GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die cut in black and the card was complete!

Remember, we have a monthly challenge going on right right now in the SumMore Fun Creations Facebook group!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!  Today the Trendy Twine DT and GDT are sharing beautiful Christmas cards on the Twine It Up blog.  Hop on over to see what they all have created!  This is my card to share with you...
I started with lots of pretty papers from DCWV's Red & White Christmas stack.  I wanted that sentiment panel to be the focal point, so I wrapped Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine around it, leaving two long tails for a little extra visual interest.  It is popped up with foam tape on the front of the card.
To embellish, I glued pieces from the Christmas Shaker Medley in the bottom left corner.  I thought it was just the right amount of bling for this card!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Candy Box

Hello all!  Today I am posting for the Trendy Twine blog with this treat box. It is embellished with Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine, our featured twine for December.  My 6 year old wanted to make this box for his aunt, so he picked out all the different elements he wanted to use.
He started with a Biggie Kraft Box and covered all the sides with squares of cardstock from DCWV's Red & White Christmas stack.  He also added stickers from that stack on the top and front.
The bow was created using the Stampin Up! bow builder punch.
We punched two holes in the top and threaded Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine through them, tying knots on the inside.  We left a loop on top of the box to hold the handle of a Mini Wooden Scoop.  Then we took the long end of the Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine and wrapped it around the box, securing the Mini Wooden Scoop to the end of the twine.
Here is a look at the inside of the lid, so you can see how we attached the twine and how the scoop fits inside to scoop out the candy!
Here is my little guy with his creation!

Quick Christmas Cards

Good morning!  I don't know about all of you, but December is always crazy busy for me, so I am always on the lookout for quick ideas to take a little stress out of the equation.  Here are some cards that I made with DCWV's Red & White Christmas stack that fit that description!
I made 10 in all and 100% of the papers, including the sentiment panels were from that stack.  Quick, yet pretty!
I embellished several with Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine.
Others had dots of white pearl pen or silver stickles.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Christmas Gift Card Holder

Hello all!  Today I am posting for the Trendy Twine blog with this great way to present a gift card for a Christmas gift.  It is embellished with Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine, our featured twine for December.
I placed the gift card in a Kraft Wide Chevron Treat Bag and folded down the top.  Next I cut a strip of red cardstock not quite long enough to wrap all the way around the bag.  Using Distress Oxide inks in Peeled Paint and Antique Linen, I stamped stars from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set and a sentiment from the APB Merry & Bright stamp set on the cardstock.  Once the ink was dry, I used a small hole punch to make two rows of holes through which I laced the Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine.
To finish off the bag, I glued sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley onto it.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Christmas Hair Bow

Good morning to all my crafty friends!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  This is a very busy time of the year for me, as it is for many of you, I am sure!  The project I am sharing today is a little different than usual.  It is a Christmas bow made out of felt for my baby girl!
I started out by picking the colors of felt that I wanted to make the bow out of.  The glitter gold is not actually felt, but is found by the felt in my craft store.  It worked well in the same way as the felt did for my project.
Next, I cut pieces of the Bow 3D Lattice 2 Layer file (is also part of the Decorated Large Tote Gable Box file) out of Reynolds Freezer Paper.  The parts of the file that I used were the solid bow and the straight tails.  I also broke apart those pieces in my software and deleted the holes that were in the original files so I was left with the following pieces:
The measurements for the pieces above were (top to bottom) 5.25" wide, 4.5" wide, 3.75" wide, and 2.75" wide.  The next step was to iron the freezer paper shiny side DOWN onto the back side of the felt.  Use medium low heat on your iron (or a polyester setting) and use a thin pressing cloth.  You know it is heated enough when the freezer paper sticks to the felt.
Here are all of the pieces ironed onto the felt.
Next, using a scissors, cut around the freezer paper templates.  Gently peel the freezer paper off of the felt.  Your pieces will look like this:
Using a hot glue gun, add a dot of glue to the center of the bow, fold in one end, then repeat for the other side of the bow.  Assemble each bow piece the same way, then use hot glue to build the bow from the bottom up, starting with the tail piece, then largest to smallest bow piece.  I tied a piece of gold ribbon around the assembled bow and added a Christmas button to finish it off.
Here it is on my little sweetheart!  Now she is ready for Christmas!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Ornament Christmas Card

Good Morning!  Today is a reminder post for the current Christmas Crafts challenge that SumMore Fun has going on in their SumMore Fun Creations Facebook group.  You can see even more inspiration on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses a Victorine Originals Snowflake Ornament stamp and a sentiment from Raisin Boat's Merry Nature stamp set.
I stamped the Snowflake Ornament stamp with Sparkling Unicorn Spit in Starling Sasha and Violet Vulture by painting it onto the stamp with a brush and then stamping.  I love the shimmer it creates!  I then die cut the square with a GMD Lacey Lattice Square die and stamped the sentiment in black ink.  The patterned papers are from Pink and Main's Frosty paper pad.  I embellished with a silver tinsel ribbon (which I adhered with Glue Dots super strength runner) and GMD Winter Sparkle Glitter enamel dots.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
