Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Valentine Tag

Good Thursday morning!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with this mixed media Valentine tag.  I used our featured twine of the month, Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.
I started with a Kraft Large Tag-It and glued a big heart of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine onto the tag with Bearly Arts precision glue.  I then added the Heart Tickets with foam tape.  Next I filled some empty space on the tag with images from the You & Me stamp set using Scrapbook.com Leather ink.  Embellishing with Pink Diamond Sparkling Gems brought some sparkle to the tag, which I love!  At the top of the tag, I added a Cherry Latte Trendy Page Dot and a tie of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine to finish it off.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Pie and Ice Cream Treat

Good morning!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with this sweet Valentine's theme treat.  I used two of our featured items of the month, a Pink Mini Popcorn Box and Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.
I started with a Pink Mini Popcorn Box and kept it flat for stamping the sentiments from the We Go Together stamp set in black ink.  Still keeping it flat, I added Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine around the top scalloped edge by applying a thin line of Bearly Arts precision glue.  I also added a bow of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  I set that aside to dry and stamped the pie image from the Perfect Pairs stamp set onto white cardstock with black ink.  I cut that out with my Brother Scan N Cut and colored it with Artify alcohol markers to look like fresh strawberry pie...yummy!  I added that to the box with foam tape and finished it off with some dots of red Pearl Pen.  Once everything was dry, I assembled the box and added the sweet treats.

Final Goodbye to SumMore Fun

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to SumMore Fun today.  The store closes at midnight tonight, so grab ALL the $5 stamp sets you can right now!  We also have something to celebrate today, as it is also SumMore Fun's owner, Sabrina's birthday!  So for my very last post for SumMore Fun, I wanted to share the birthday card I created for her.  Happy birthday Sabrina!  It uses two stamp sets called Free As A Bird and Chalk Talk.
I started with a solid green background because it is the main color for SumMore Fun!  I then stamped several stamps from Free As A Bird on it with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white powder. I blended Scrapbook.com Pine ink in from the edges to soften the look.  The green layer was adhered to the black with Bearly Art glue, which really helped pull the warp out of the cardstock from the heat embossing.  The sentiment layer features stamps from Chalk Talk.  I stamped and embossed them in the same way as I did the background image stamps.  After fussy cutting the sentiment panel, I popped it up with Scotch foam tape, then added Green Pearl Pen dots throughout the background.  I think it made for a subtle, yet elegant card.

Be sure to stop by the SumMore Fun blog to see what my fellow DT member, Jeanette has created for Sabrina's birthday and remember to leave some birthday wishes!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Two Shall Become One Card

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  Today I am posting for the SumMore Fun blog.  Time is winding down quickly to get products from SumMore Fun.  The store will close at midnight on January 11th, so don't wait to get your hands on $5 stamp sets!  The stamp set I used to create this card is called Damask Elegance.  That set is perfect for wedding cards!
I started by making the background pink layer using solid cardstock with Scrapbook.com Pink Lemonade ink and my stamp platform with the large damask stamp from Damask Elegance.  I die cut that with a GMD eyelet elegance rectangle die and used Bearly Art glue to adhere it to the metallic silver layer.  I wrapped white seam binding around the center line, then adhered it to the card base.  It is hard to see in the photo, but I also used my scoring board to emboss lines 1/4" from the outside of the white card base on all edges of the front.
The sentiment layer was also stamps from Damask Elegance.  The outer element was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Silver Glitter powder.  The sentiment was stamped with Pink Lemonade ink.  I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut both of the shaped layers, glued them together with Bearly Art glue and popped them up with Scotch foam tape.  To embellish, I added a bow of the white seam binding and a trio of silver enamel dots.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
