Dinosaur Thinking Of You

Hello friends!  I am on the SumMore Fun blog today with another project.  Before I dive into what I created, let me share what the current promotion is at SumMore Fun:
Totally WOW, right?!  This sale is good through Tuesday, June 30th, so take advantage of it now!

Now on to my latest SumMore Fun project...
Once again, I used the Stimulus Package to create most of this.  The following items were in that package (package contents may vary): Thinking of You overlay, Twisted Citron Distress Stain, and the dinosaur patterned paper.  For the card, I prepared the overlay with the Distress Stain, then blended Pine Needles Distress Oxide on the edges.  I spritzed it with water, let it dry, then coated it with Mod Podge clear acrylic sealer so the color wouldn't transfer.  I added dinosaur paper and orange cardstock to the back so it would show through the letters.  Enamel dots finished off the card.
For the bookmark, I simply used the scrap paper from the sheet of paper from the Stimulus Package.  I made it double sided, adding my nephew's name to it.  That can be done with a printer or individual letter stamps.  Once laminated, I punched a hole in the top then added Trendy Twine in Totally Pumpkin, Totally Blue, and Twisted Lime.  A perfect set for the dino lover!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Level Up Card

Hello all!  Today I am sharing a bonus project for the Trendy Twine blog that uses Blue Berry Trendy Twine, our featured twine for June.  It is a birthday card with a gamer in mind!
The patterned papers are from DCWV's Boyhood stack and they matched the Blue Berry Trendy Twine perfectly!  Once the background paper was adhered, I simply wrapped circles of Blue Berry Trendy Twine and Limeade Trendy Twine around my fingers then laid it on the card, adhering it when I thought it was the way I wanted it.  I popped up the sentiment paper, making sure the foam tape was not on top of the twine.  I finished off the card with some coordinating sequins.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Kick Cancer's Butt Card

Hello and happy Sunday! I am on the SumMore Fun blog today and they are having a brand new weekend promotion...buy 4 stamp sets, Get 1 stamp set FREE! You know that is an amazing deal because the prices on their stamp sets are already much lower than most retailers. Plus the offer is stackable, which means if you buy 8 sets, you get 2 FREE, buy 12 sets, you get 3 FREE. Hurry, the special offer is only good through Monday! Here is what I created for inspiration:
All the stamps on this card are from the SumMore Fun You Can stamp set...an absolute must have in my opinion!  It is great for cancer encouragement or for general encouragement too.  I stamped the cancer ribbon stamp with Scrapbook.com Pink Lemonade ink, which matched well with the MAMBI breast cancer cardstock I used on the center panel.  I used GMD scalloped stitched rectangle dies for the white panels and layered each panel with black cardstock to make them stand out.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine onyx black ink.  Once adhered, I added a small dot of Glitter Pink Pearl Pen to each end of the sentiment for a little sparkle.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Ridiculously Amazing

Hello friends!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with this "ridiculously amazing" treat box...okay, so even if the project itself might fall a bit short on that scale, the point is to make someone's DAY ridiculously amazing by giving it to them!  I mean chocolate...that definitely would boost one's mood.
I started with a 2x2 Window Box from Annie's Paper Boutique, which would be PERFECT for cake pops because there is even an area on the top for a stick, but I chose to fill it with Hershey's Kisses.  I decorated the front of the box by adding a line of liquid glue to adhere Blue Berry Trendy Twine in a frame around the clear window.  I also embellished with a small bow of Blue Berry Trendy Twine and Peppermint Icicle Sequins.  Check out the lovely shades of blue in that twist of Trendy Twine!!
I then created a tag using Sky Tag-It, a sentiment from the Choose Happy stamp set stamped with Scrapbook.com Charcoal ink, an Aqua Midnight Trendy Page Dot, and Peppermint Icicle Sequins.  I tied it to the top lid of the box through the little flaps that are pre-cut in it.  Now this little treat is off to make someone's day amazing!

Steeping You In Love Card

Happy Sunday! For a while I will be posting for the SumMore Fun blog on Sundays instead of my regular Wednesdays. We will be having weekend promos in which a certain stamp set will be free with your order of $35+. Awesome, right?! This weekend, through Monday, you can get the SMF Sundri's High Tea stamp set at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:
I started by stamping the white strip of cardstock with the rose stamps from Sundri's High Tea using a stamp platform and Scrapbook.com inks in the Rose group, which made a beautiful ombre effect.  From there, I stamped the teacup from Sundri's High Tea in black, colored it with markers and used a CC stitched circle die to cut around it.  The sentiment is also from the Sundri's High Tea set and was also stamped in black.  I matted all the layers of paper with black cardstock and inked around the edges of the lighter papers with SB.com Sugar Cookie ink.  I added a GMD lacey snowflake die cut in green underneath the teacup circle, which was popped up with foam tape.  The finishing touch was two Pearl Pink Pearl Pen dots in the top right corner.  The background patterned paper is from The Paper Studio's Mint Berry paper pad.

Here is a look at the Sundri's High Tea stamp set:

Carefree Birds Card

Happy Sunday! For a while I will be posting for the SumMore Fun blog on Sundays instead of my regular Wednesdays. We will be having weekend promos in which a certain stamp set will be free with your order of $35+. Awesome, right?! This weekend, through Monday, you can get the Raisin Boat Free As A Bird at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:
I started with a piece of watercolor paper and die cut it with a GMD stitched rectangle die.  I made the background by rubbing Distress Inks in Work Lipstick, Seedless Preserves, and Salty Ocean on an acrylic stamping block.  I lightly spritzed the block with water then flipped it upside down onto the watercolor paper.  I placed something heavy on the block and let it sit for 5 minutes, then removed the block and let it dry.  The next step was to stamp the images from the Free As A Bird set with VersaMark and heat emboss with white powder.  I really love that look!  The final bit of stamping was to add the Carefree sentiment from Free As A Bird in light blue.  I matted the white panel with solid cardstocks in the same colors as the ink.  The only embellishment I used was glitter pink Pearl Pen dots.  I think it turned out to be a very delicate and tranquil card!

Here is a look at the Free As A Bird:

How do you get it for free?? To claim this deal, simply add Free As A Bird to your shopping cart and continue shopping at SumMore Fun. Once your order *excluding* Free As A Bird reaches a subtotal of $35, Free As A Bird will automatically be marked down!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Father's Day Card

Hello crafty friends! I am posting on the Trendy Twine blog today with this Father's Day card.  It features Blue Berry Trendy Twine which is our monthly spotlight.
I started off by stamping the Father Calligraphy stamp (Paper Inspirations brand) in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossing it with clear powder. I then chose several prints from the DCWV Guy stack and layered them in various directions.  I adhered the stamped panel to the front with foam tape.
Before attaching the card front to the card base, I used my Crop-A-Dile to add six small eyelets to the right side of the card.  I strung Blue Berry Trendy Twine through the eyelets and tied a knot in it as well for visual interest.  I really liked the pop of blue with the other muted colors of the card.  The final step was to adhere it to the card base with strong adhesive.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
