3D Birthday Cake Card

Hello all!  I made this card for my MIL's birthday.  She wears a lot of teal, silver and black so this suited her perfectly.
I created this card using the 3D Cake Box kit at SVG Attic.  I embossed the white background later and used brown chalk ink on the layers for extra dimension.  The patterned paper is from DCWV's All Dressed Up stack and the glitter paper is also from DCWV, the Glitzy Glitter stack.  The sentiment stamp is from Mark's Finest Papers.
A picture of all the dimension on this card!  The flower is the daisy from SVG Attic's 3D Spring Flowers set.  The black dot is one of my homemade enamel dots.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Fun Birthday Card

So I wanted to try out something a little different with the Laurel Lace Border Die that I received from Top Dog Dies.  I wanted to see if I could just create an edge on a piece of paper instead of making a separate border like the die is intended to do.  Guess what...it worked!  I simply stopped rolling my Big Shot before it reached the end of the die and then reverse rolled it back out.  This is what I created with it.
A very fun and bright birthday card!  I used the Sunday Afternoon stack by DCWV and the stamp is from My Craft Spot's Chalkboard Sentiments set.  The twine wrapped around the top is Trendy Twine's Tickled with Teal.

Here is a closeup of that beautiful bottom edge!

Girl Baptism Card

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card that I made for my baby niece's baptism.  I wanted it to have a simple elegance and I think that was exactly how it turned out!  I used sets from SVG Attic for This card.
The cross and kneeling girl are from the Full Of Grace set.  The daisies across the bottom are from the 3D Spring Flowers set.  Behind the flowers is a strip of simply white rumpled ribbon and I used my homemade enamel dots for the flower centers.  The background is embossed with a paisley embossing folder.  The cross and girl are each popped up with a layer of thin foam tape for extra dimension.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Simple Wedding Card

I created this card to be similar to the wedding colors my cousin had for her wedding.  Plus I wanted to use a stamp set by paper smooches that I hadn't used yet, so this is what I came up with.
I designed a cut file for the white stamped area and the black layer underneath so that I could make sure that it had just the right shadow area.
The large flower was on the patterned paper already (DCWV's Summer Dream stack) But I used a small flower punch for the three little ones.  Then I added liquid pearls to the center of the flowers.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Feminine Purse Card

I am still so happy that I was chosen to be a guest designer for Top Dog Dies! They were so generous to send me dies to play with and boy oh boy did I go a little die crazy!  I used 6 die sets on this card :)
The base of the card is made from the Purse Pocket Card Die.  Then I simply cut a strip of cardstock and wrapped it around the card like a belly band.  Next I pleated some yellow rumpled ribbon and adhered it to the base of that band.  Then I used Bottles #1 and Bottles #2 die sets with solid cardstock to make the perfume bottles on the front.  I popped them up with foam dots.  I hand cut a tag for the sentiment and attached it to the bottle with twine.  The corner flourishes are from the Leafy Flourishes Die Set and I added three flowers to the top one for accents.
The inside pulls out of the card as seen below.
For inside I layered cream and gray cardstock for the base and then added the Laurel Lace Border Die to the back at the top.  The embellishments at the bottom are cut from the Decorative Corner Die Set.
I used DCWV's Sunday Afternoon stack for all of the patterned cardstock in this project.  The sentiments are from the Girlie Sayings stamp set by My Pink Stamper.

Top Dog Dies Rainbow Birthday Card and Giveaway!

I am so blessed to be a guest designer for Top Dog Dies and they sent me such beautiful dies to work with.  If you aren't familiar with their company, here is a little bit about them. Top Dog Dies is a new online store that offers their own brand of wafer-thin and steel-rule dies, along with dies from brands you already know and trust, including Little B, Lawn Fawn, Taylored Expressions, Savvy Stamps and Cheery Lynn Designs. Top Dog Dies is also the leading U.S. retailer for Tattered Lace, a new line of intricate dies designed by British designer Stephanie Weightman.

Without further ado, here is what I created with their gorgeous Laurel Lace die.
I cut 6 colors of BoBunny double dot paper with the die and adhered them to the card base in rainbow order.  Then I wrapped Trendy Twine in coordinating colors around each border layer to add a little extra flair!  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.
Head on over to the Top Dog Die blog to see what I created for that post!  It used SIX dies!  Here is a sneak peak of it...
Now for the GIVEAWAY!

Trendy Twine Little Sister Projects & Giveaway!

I am super excited to let you all know that I am officially adopted into the Trendy Twine family as a Little Sister :)  I love working with their twine and can't wait to be part of their team.  They have 74 unique colors of twine which you can see HERE.  I created three projects that showcase their yummy twine.

The first one is a pillow box that is showing off Trendy Twine's Nautical twine.  The navy, yellow and white twist was perfect for this project!
I created this project with SVG Attic's Holiday Cheer Gift Boxes.
Here it is opened up...
For my next project, I used Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine!  I love this color of twine!  It matches almost everything and I use it A LOT.
The ice cream cone is from SVG Cuts' Ice Cream Birthday SVG kit.  Isn't it so sweet?
I embossed and distressed the cone with brown chalk ink.
And yes, it does hold a lot of candy!
For my final project, I once again used Chocolate Truffle twine, but in a very different way.  This card is very masculine.  I made it for my Father-In-Law's birthday.
I used the All About Daddy kit from SVG Attic to make this and as you can see, the spokes of the tire are pop tabs.  I used the twine to stitch them into place on the card!
I also embellished the envelope with twine as well.
Whew!  Did you make it through the entire post?  Thanks for letting me share all of these with you.  You will see many more projects with Trendy Twine both here and on the Trendy Twine blog coming soon!

Before you go, I want to let you know about a giveaway Trendy Twine is having!  It is for an Original Six Trendy Twine Mini Pack.
You have until 11:59 pm central time, Saturday, July 12th to enter.  All you have to do is be a follower and comment on the four blogs listed below to be eligible to win (mine is included)!

Sewing Machine Card

I have really been fortunate lately in receiving prizes from challenges and even some blog candy!  I really feel so blessed!  The blog candy that I recently won from Deb was just so beautiful that I had to make something with it right away!
The cutting file for this card was from The Cutting Cafe.  I used print and cut with my Cameo for the dial and sentiment which were both included in the file.
These gorgeous papers are from Graphic 45's Botanical Tea Collection.  The ribbon color is "Oh Darling" from Lovebug Creations.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Angry Birds Card

If you are like me, you know several people who are crazy for Angry Birds!  Namely my boys.  They love playing those games!
I made this card for a birthday party my oldest son was invited to.  It went with the gift of an Angry Bird board game :)  The bird cutting file was from HERE.  The grass cutting file was from SVG Attic's Easter Elements set.
I inked around all of the cuts with brown chalk ink and popped the bird up with thin foam tape.  I added some of my homemade enamel dots at the bottom.  The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags stamp set.

Patriotic Star Center Piece

Today I am sharing a patriotic centerpiece that I made using SVG Attic files.  They are having a contest for the month of July and the theme is Anything Goes.  Go HERE to see the contest guidelines and to enter your projects!  You have a chance to win one of three gift cards to the SVG Attic store!
The star base was made from Uncle Sam's Party Kit and all of the elements inside the star are from the card box file in the Festive Fourth set.  The patterned paper I used is The Paper Studio's Vintage Nation stack.  I also used DCWV's Glitzy Glitter for the silver glitter paper...it cuts like a charm in my Cameo!
Here is a close up of the center elements.  I added a heavy wire to them and stuck them into a small piece of floral foam in the base.  I added silver gift shred over the top of that and knotted some red, white and blue ribbons around the wires and it was done :)
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
