Trendy Bakers Twine~Flower Note Card

Hello all!  I don't know about you, but I definitely have spring fever.  Today's Trendy Twine project is all about a bold and beautiful bloom!
I started with a Lavender Scallop Note Card and adhered a Sizzix Thinlits Icelandic Poppy die cut to it.  The top layer of petals were popped up with foam tape for extra dimension.  I then added a sentiment strip using a stamp from the Friendship stamp set and Scrapbook.com Mardi Gras ink.  Before adding it to my flower, I wrapped the beautiful Grape Fizz Trendy Twine around both ends and also added a double bow of Grape Fizz Trendy Twine to the left side.  A few Grape Fizz Sequins dressed up the flower.  Since I plan to use this notecard as a gift tag, I punched a hole on the top left corner and added a loop of Grape Fizz Trendy Twine that will make it easy to attach to the gift.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique, several of which are on sale this month:

You can also find the twine I used in the Grape Trendy Twine Sampler.  Each color in a sampler is ten yards in length and is wound on a wooden clothes pin for easy use and storage.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Quick Easter Cards (UFO Post #1)

Hello all!  Life has been insane for the last 6 months for my family and I haven't been taking time to craft aside from what was necessary.  I found myself still wanting to craft as a stress reliever, so I decided to tackle the pile of unfinished objects on my craft table (UFO).  Seriously.  There was a PILE!  mostly duplicates of cards that I finished one and left the rest to finish later, or a project that I started and couldn't finish at the time.  This has gone on for a long time...years, to be honest!  Well, I made it my mission to not really dig into more unnecessary projects until my pile of UFO's was completed.  I am happy to report that the projects are dwindling down, and that makes me SO HAPPY!

Here is what I created for Easter cards to send to family this year.  The stamped panel was complete, but that is all that I had in my pile, so I finished up the rest of these cards in short order to send out.

The beautiful cross stamp was a wood mount stamp from Hobby Lobby.  It was watercolored with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and die cut around with a deckle edge die.  The card bases were part of a set I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby last fall for dirt cheap.  They had a white area in the center that I covered with the metallic cardstock and stamped panel.
Here is a look at all 10 of the cards I completed.  If you are curious what project I originally stamped these crosses for, you can check out THIS POST.  I actually planned to make these extra crosses for family cards that Easter, but I ran out of steam and creativity.  I'm happy I could make them work for this year!  Stay tuned for more UFO posts in the future!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  The Trendy Twine blog has some wonderful inspiration for you on this blessed day.  Be sure to hop over there to see!  I created a fun Easter treat box to share.
I used a Spring Green Mini Popcorn Box and glued lengths of Twisted Lime Trendy Twine at the bottom to imitate grass, then added a line of Twisted Lime Trendy Twine around the whole base to finish it off.  Bearly Art precision tip glue works wonderful for accurately adhering twine!
I added a die cut bunny and added a sequin tail from the Sky sequins.  I also added die cut eggs all over the sides for more color and fun.  The sentiment was from the You've Got Mail stamp set and was stamped in VersaFine Clair Green Oasis ink.  Once the sentiment strip was glued to the box, I added a Sky sequin to that as well.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!  Be sure to stop at the Trendy Twine blog for more inspiration.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Sweet Easter Treat Bag

Good morning!  Easter is right around the corner, so of course, that is the theme of today's project for the Trendy Twine blog!  This sweet Easter treat bag went together easily and would work to make multiples of if needed.
First, I grabbed a Purple Chevron Treat Bag and filled it with York peppermint eggs, YUM!  I folded over the top of the bag to attach the decorated tag.  For that, I utilized a White Large Tag-It that I embossed with a basket weave Darice embossing folder and added egg die cuts to it.  The yellow egg was embossed with a chevron Darice embossing folder to continue the design on the bag.  That egg was popped up with foam tape and a bow of Totally Grape Trendy Twine was glued to it.  A Kraft Brown Trendy Page Dot, a sentiment stamped in black ink from the Greetings stamp set, and Grape Fizz Sequins finished off the tag.  To attach it to the bag, I punched a hole in the bag and wrapped Totally Grape Trendy Twine several times around the top of the hole, creating a fan appearance on the front and securing the Trendy Twine on the back side.
