DCWV Sketch Cards

Hello all!  I am sharing two cards in this post that are based off of DCWV's April Stackaholic challenge sketch.  Why two?  Because I needed these cards to send out and I was really inspired by the sketch!
The first card uses papers from their new Treasures stack that is available at Michaels.  I LOVE the vintage feel that those papers have!  I used some crinkle seam binding and Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine at the top of the tag.  This was a get well soon card, so the sentiments read: be strong, faith and home again.  I fussy cut out the key and added crackle accents to it for a vintage look.
My second card has entirely different feel to it!  This is fun and the colors are light and airy.  It is for my niece's birthday.
All of the pastel prints are from DCWV's Nana's Kitchen stack.  The prints are so much fun in that stack!  The brown patterned paper is the same as the background of the first card which is from the Treasures stack.  The ice cream cone SVG is from SVG Attic.  I embossed the cone and added glossy accents and glitter to the ice cream.  I even attempted to add glossy accents and glitter to look like the ice cream was dripping.  It is hard to see in the photos.
Want to join in the fun with this sketch?  Here it is!  All the details are in THIS blog post.

Faceless Beauty Card

Good morning!  I am here to share one of the last cards that I have created with you.  It was for a High School aged prayer friend that I have had through the school year.  Her favorite color is coral, so I went with that color as my theme.
I used Unity's Faceless Beauty stamp set.  I stamped it on vellum and used markers to color it in with accents of white gel pen.  The patterned paper is from a stack by Colorbok.
This stamp set is one that I really love.  You can click HERE and HERE to see the other cards I have created with it!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine~Love & Hugs Card

Good morning my crafty friends!  Today is my day to post over on the Trendy Twine blog.  This month, we are spotlighting Grape Fizz Trendy Twine and here is the card I have to share with you.
I wanted to keep this card pretty simple and let the sentiment make a bold statement.  The love die and stamp are from Pink and Main.  The papers are from DCWV's Bouquet De Fleur stack.
The beautiful Grape Fizz Trendy Twine made the perfect embellishment, and for the last touch, I added two flowers for a little pop of color.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Spring Jamberry Manicure

I had some requests to share my nails with Jamberry wraps on after I posted THIS pretty gift idea with Jamberry wraps inside.   So here is what I am wearing right now!
I purchased the Coming Up Roses (now retired) wraps with the intention of wearing them for Easter.  Well, as it turned out, I didn't wear a pink dress that day, so I opted for a different manicure for that.
I love pink, so I didn't want to wait any longer to wear these beauties!   I added an accent nail of Sweet Surprise on my index finger.   I also added Bachelorette TruShine gel on my ring fingernails.   That is SO pretty!  Iridescent glitter and the wrap underneath still shows through.  I see myself using that A LOT in the future.  The pictures really don't do it justice!
So confession time...Jamberry is a new obsession for me!  Like the paper crafting world where there are so many textures and colors and patterns, Jamberry has all of that too, only for nails!  That is what spurred me to become an Jamberry Independent Consultant!  If you have any questions for me, either comment on this post or use the Contact Me tab that is at the top of the page :)

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Teacher Thank You Gifts ~ OT

Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing a post stuffed with awesome products from Oriental Trading.  I went with a teacher appreciation theme since that week is May 2-May 6 this year.  Teachers do so much for our kids!
First up, these watercolor cards...I used colored card bases from DCWV and layered the stamped and watercolored paper with black cardstock.  I love the watercolors that I used!  So many colors to choose from.
I embellished with homemade enamel dots and Trendy Twine.  I also used foam tape to pop up the front layers.
The next set of cards were made in a very similar way as the first two.  In addition to the colored card bases from DCWVblack cardstockwatercolors, I added pearls from the Halloween self-adhesive pearls and Valentine self adhesive pearls packs.
I had fun splattering the watercolors on the stamped paper.
The final card I created used a colored card base from DCWVblack cardstockfoam tape and the School paper kit.
Last, but definitely not least, I made these goody filled cups for the teachers!  Here is a list of supplies that I used for decorating the mugs...
Teacher Mug with Pencil Handle
School paper kit
Stick-Em Adhesive Dots
Super Sensational Ribbons
Here is a closer look at what was inside the mugs!
Clear Gift Bags
Catholic School Pencils
Star Stickers
Animal Print Heart Erasers
Apple Shaped Sticky Notes
All of the products from Oriental Trading were great and I really enjoyed creating with them.  I hope my boys' teachers enjoy their gifts!

Have a wonderfully crafty day!

The review of these products is based strictly on my opinion. Others may have a different opinion or experience with the products listed above. I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading Co. and I provided my honest opinion. No other type of compensation was received for this review.

Graduation Card and Layout

Happy Saturday!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  I decided to go with a graduation theme since my 6 year old is going to have his Kindergarten graduation soon and talks about it every day!
First I created the step card from the JGW Up For Grads set.  I used the school colors for the card.  I created a tassel out of Totally Red Trendy Twine for the hat.
Then I made the matching envelope that is included in that set.
Then I created an 8.5x11" graduation layout that is from the Hat's Off SVG Collection.  It is actually a 12x12" layout in the set, but I imported all the pieces into my software and sized them all to fit on a 8.5x11" sheet of paper.
I added some stickers that came with the paper pack along with the SVG's.  I also placed some homemade enamel dots on the page.
I popped up the numbers with foam tape and added a bow of Celebration Trendy Twine.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine~Spring Gift

Good morning my crafty friends! Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog. This month, we are spotlighting the GORGEOUS Grape Fizz Trendy Twine.
I created this sweet gift using a Medium Candy Bag.  It fit a half sheet of Jamberry nail wraps for a gift perfectly!  For the topper, I used DCWV's Bouquet De Fleur paper stack and made a multi-layer flower.  I used loops of the Grape Fizz Trendy Twine on the layers of the flower.  For the center of the flower, I added a button and wound Lemon Tart Trendy Twine on it.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
