Trendy Bakers Twine~Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!  The Trendy Gals are sharing Christmas projects on the Trendy Twine blog today, so stop by to check those out.  This is what I created...

I used papers and a nativity sticker from the Echo Park Wise Men Still Seek Him collection.  I wrapped Stormy Trendy Twine and Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine around the patterned cardstock.  The sentiment was from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set, was die cut out with Pink Fresh Studio essential fancy label frame dies, and popped up with foam tape.  The final embellishments were gold and silver star sequins from the Delightful and Merry Sequin mixes.  Those were glued on with Bearly Art precision tip glue.
I hope this Christmas finds you all happy and healthy!  Be sure to stop by the Trendy Twine blog for more Christmas cheer!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Christmas Gift Card

Hello all!  If you are like me and are still scrambling to get those last minute Christmas gifts organized, this post is for you!  I'm on the Trendy Twine blog today with this gift card holder that can be made in a snap.
I used a Small Glassine Bag to hold the gift card.  They are seriously the perfect size for that purpose and I have used them on many occasions for that!  I then added a belly band of patterned paper, some Delightful Sequins, a metal rim kraft tag that I stamped with a sentiment from the Merry & Bright stamp set in green ink, and Cherry Latte Trendy Page Dot.  The beautiful Krafty Red Trendy Twine and Cherry Latte Trendy Twine were twisted into a rope by using the Sizzix Twist & Style tool.  I started with 2 strands of Krafty Red  and 3 strands of Cherry Latte which made a lovely chunky rope that makes me think of a scarf for these cold winter days!

Trendy Bakers Twine~The Most Wonderful Time

Hello all!  It's the most wonderful time of the year...Christmastime!  Today I am sharing the retro card that I created for the Trendy Twine blog. It is sure to put a smile on your face!
I used patterned papers from The Paper Studio's Woodland Wonderland 6x6 pad and added a delightful focal point of a Christmas Scooter Retro Tag.  Doesn't that image just make you want to go on a Christmas tree hunt?  You could also substitute the tag with a stamped or die cut image to change it up.  The sentiment from Let It Snow Christmas stamp set was stamped in black.  Krafty Red Trendy Twine accented both the sentiment and around the scooter tag.  Delightful Sequins were the perfect final embellishment.  Adhesives used include Bearly Art precision tip glue and foam tape.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Guest Designer Thanksgiving Card

Hello all! Happy Thanksgiving! I have a special guest who helped create today's project...my 4 year old daughter!  She absolutely LOVES all of the Annie's Paper Boutique image stamps and wanted to make a card for her Grandma using the Hello Fall Planner Stamps.  Of course I obliged!
The stamps from Hello Fall set were stamped with VersaFine Clair inks in Charming Pink, Warm Breeze, Twilight, and Green Oasis.  The stamped panel was then wrapped with Twisted Teal and Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twines.  She wanted curly twine as well, so I saturated some with spray starch, wrapped them around a pen, and let them air dry.  Once dry, I tied them around the straight pieces of Trendy Twine.
The patterned paper is from LilyBee Designs Victoria Park 6x6 paper pad.  Navy blue cardstock worked well to mat layers with.  The finishing touch was bling, of course!  Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems are easily adhered with Bearly Art Precision Tip glue.  That completed our simple card!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Autumn Tag

Hello all!  It is Thanksgiving week and before fall projects are in the past, I wanted to share one more quick project with you for the Trendy Twine blog.  It is an autumn themed tag.
I started with a Mango Chunky Tag-It, added washi tape, and glued strips of Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine at an angle on the bottom half.  I then added the stamped sentiment banner using APB Hello Fall planner stamps and Scrapbook.com Leather ink.  That adorable scarecrow focal point is simply a Round Scarecrow Vintage Inspired Tag matted onto a brown scalloped circle die cut, then popped up with foam tape.  At the top of the tag, I used champagne chevron ribbon from the Chevron Ribbon set and tied a bow of Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine around it.  I simply LOVE how the ribbon fit perfectly in the top of the Chunky Tag-It! The finishing touch was a trio of Chocolate Truffle Sequins.  Bearly Art precision tip glue was the adhesive I used for the Trendy Twine and sequins.

Happy Birthday, Lesley!

Today the Trendy Gals wanted to show our appreciation for Lesley, the owner of Annie's Paper Boutique because it is her BIRTHDAY!  Happy birthday Lesley!  This is the card I made for her.
The patterned papers are from DCWV's Unicorns & Rainbows stack.  The card is a fun fold card featuring a "Drapery Fold Technique".  Of course, a card for Lesley wouldn't be complete without Trendy Twine, so I used Paper Smooches Balloons dies and made Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine strings for the balloons.  A sentiment stamp from the Annie's Paper Boutique Smile stamp set made the card complete.  I used Bearly Art precision tip glue as the adhesive for the card.
Be sure to stop by the Trendy Twine blog to leave Lesley some birthday love!!

Deck the Halls with Annie's Paper Boutique!

Hello Trendy Twine fans!  Today on the Trendy Twine blog we are super excited to jump start the Christmas season with a group post featuring Christmas ornaments.  Now is the time to get working on those fun seasonal projects that you may not have time to complete later on in the season.  Not only would these ornaments be beautiful gracing your own home, they would make fantastic handmade gifts!  Without further ado, here is the project I made to share with you today:

I started with a 2.64" clear acrylic Christmas ornament.  The insert was cut from acetate.  To make the stable design, I stamped the image from the APB Merry Christmas stamps onto white paper, scanned it into my computer, and traced the image in my SCAL4 software to cut out of permanent black vinyl with my Silhouette Cameo.  I did enlarge the image by about 1/2" from what the original stamp was.  Once I rolled the acetate and got it inside the ornament, I added fake snow and lots of Delightful sequins.

For the top of the ornament, I knotted red chevron ribbon from the Chevron Ribbon Sampler first, then made a double bow using Holly Trendy Twine and Totally Kraft Trendy Twine and glued it to the front of the ribbon.  The hanger for the ornament was simply Holly Trendy Twine and I added a small tag to it with a sentiment from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set that was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with Gold powder.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Blessed & Thankful Treat

Hello all!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with this fall popcorn box treat.  'Tis the season to give thanks and that is the theme of today's project!  It features a Mango Mini Popcorn Box and the lovely fall Orange Truffle Trendy Twine.
I started by keeping the Mango Mini Popcorn Box flat and stamping all over it with the adorable images from the APB Hello Fall stamp set (on SALE now!) using Scrapbook.com Leather ink.  I even stamped some of the images so they would show on 2 sides of the box once the box was assembled to add a bit more visual interest.  I then stamped the same images onto two different patterned papers from the DCWV Fall Gathering stack and used random circle punches to make colorful circles to glue to the box once it was assembled.
I wrapped Orange Truffle Trendy Twine around the box three times and added the two sentiment banners to it before tying it in a bow.  The sentiments were also stamped from the APB Hello Fall stamp set, but they were stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto the patterned papers.
Here you can see the full view all the way around the box and how fun it is!  For a finishing touch, I used Bearly Art precision tip glue to adhere Autumn Sequins onto the box for a little sparkle.

Trendy Bakers Twine~You are Spook-tacular Cards

Good morning and Happy Halloween!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with this trio of Halloween cards.  I was still in need of a few more Halloween cards to send out, and when I came across the "stack, slice, and shuffle" method of cards, I knew that's what I wanted to make.  Simple yet quirky and it hilights lots of fun patterned papers.
The concept behind this style of cards is to cut 3 coordinating patterned papers the size you want them for your card front.  Then stack them up and slice them all at once with your paper trimmer, making sure to keep them aligned.  Once you make 2 random cuts, you shuffle the pieces so 1 of each patterned piece is set aside for each card.  Very quick and no two are identical!
The materials I used for these cards are older DCWV Halloween papers, black cardstock, Spooktacular Taffy Trendy Twine, haunted house brads, a stamped sentiment from APB Happy Halloween stamp set, and Enchanting sequins.
I absolutely love how the Spooktacular Taffy Trendy Twine coordinated perfectly with the papers I used.  Isn't this style of card fun?!  This was the first time I tried it, but it definitely won't be the last!
