Happy Halloween all! I don't have anything spooky to share with you today, just this wooden sign that I created for my in-laws' 40th Anniversary this month.
I started out with a sign blank from Michaels. I spray painted it with a tan satin finish and added the white vinyl design I created! Easy peasy! The hardest part of the whole thing was my husband actually deciding what he wanted to put on it...in the end, he just told me to do what I do best ;)
The shaker part itself consists of Autumn Sequins and shapes from the Hello Fall Planner Stamp set. Those were stamped on the patterned paper to add color and visual interest. Finally, I hand cut a banner and stamped the "Grateful for family" sentiment on it from the Happy Thanksgiving stamp set. That was added to the center of the jar front.
I used the Pink & Main Sunflowers stamps and dies for this adorable teddy bear and ladybugs. I colored them with watercolors. I tied two Blue Moon Beads Holiday Frights charms (available at Jo-Ann Fabrics) on the basket with some Nautical Trendy Twine.
I also used Nautical Trendy Twine for the bows on the sunflowers. Don't you just love that little ladybug?! Glue Dots worked perfectly to adhere the Pink and Main die cuts to the card.
Here is the card folded flat.
Next, I have this sunflower gift box to share! The file is once again from Snapdragon Snippets.
I used the DCWV Autumn Leaves stack (available at Jo-Ann Fabrics) for all of the papers. Once again, I used the Pink & Main Sunflowers stamps and dies but I also used their Thankful stamp set for the sentiment. All of the stamps stamped perfectly! I used the Tiny Bubbles cuttlebug folder to emboss the navy blue center of the sunflower for more texture.
Here is the box opened up.

Good morning all! Today I am sharing a card that I created for a neighbor who recently celebrated his 90th birthday! He is a retired farmer, so I knew I wanted the Rusty Tractor stamp to be the focal point of the card.
I chose papers that accentuated the farm feel of the card, DCWV's Paper Backed Denim stack, Guy Stack, and Gold Threaded Burlap stack. The only embellishments I used were wooden buttons in the lower right corner.
You want to know what the absolute best part of this card was? Getting a phone call from his wife saying how much they both loved the card! It really made my day!
Good morning! Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog. Halloween is only 8 days away, so I thought I would give you some last minute card inspiration!
I wrapped several rounds of Trick or Treat Trendy Twine to create a visual centerpoint. I added the "Batty for you" sentiment from the Happy Halloween stamp set from Annie's Paper Boutique to the headstone paper panel. The bat charm from Blue Moon Beads (adhered with Glue Dots) tied it all together!
The papers used in this card are from DCWV's Spooky Night mini stack.
Here is a view of the box opened up. It will hold several fun size candy bars!
My second creation is a double diamond fold card from the JGW Welcome to BOO-Ville set. Isn't it an awesome card style?!
I used DCWV's Spooky Delight and Mixed Media stacks, Blue Moon Bead Charms and Bumblebee Trendy Twine. The stamp on the lower right corner is from APB Happy Halloween stamp set. In this picture you can see how it looks all folded up. There is a matching envelope for this card in the JGW Welcome to BOO-Ville set as well.
I kept the card fairly simple, using papers from The Paper Studio's Old World Winter Matstack. I stamped the Merry Christmas stamps in brown ink on the panel to keep with the vintage look of the card. That panel is popped up with foam tape for extra dimension. The stars you see on the plaid background? Those are also part of that stamp set! I embossed them with a clear pearlized embossing powder so they are very subtle.

I started out using a tag shaker svg file from The Cutting Cafe. The papers are from DCWV's Oh What Fun stack and they coordinated perfectly with the Peppermint Icicle sequins. Look at how pretty that sequin assortment is!

As you can see, the Trick or Treat Trendy Twine made the perfect embellishment to border the front as well as to add a double bow in the bottom corner.
