Lamp Post Christmas Card

This month I am going to share a few Christmas cards with you!  After all, anytime is a good time to celebrate Christmas, but especially Christmas in July :)
This card features several Gina Marie Designs dies from Scrapbook Outlet including GMD Fleur Oval die set, GMD Iron Lanterns die set and GMD Stitched Rectangles die set.
The patterned papers are from DCWV's Cranberry Christmas stack.  The sentiment uses the APB Merry Christmas stamp set, Versamark Chalk White ink and WOW white embossing powder.  I used Cranberry Trendy Twine to add the sign to the lamppost.  The glow behind the lamp was created by sponging Antique Linen Distress Ink on the white background.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Chevron Background Thank You card

Happy Monday!  Today I am sharing a card that uses Gina Marie Designs dies from Scrapbook Outlet.
The background was cut with the GMD chevron background plate die.  The doily die cuts are from the GMD Lacey Doily dies.  The sentiment is from Victorine Originals Floral & Sayings stamp set.
For embellishments, I used GMD Watermelon colors enamel dots and a double bow of Totally Black Trendy Twine.  The patterned papers are all from Prima's Sunny Days 6x6 paper pad.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Victorine Originals Challenge #6 ~ Ahoy Landlubbers

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the Victorine Originals blog with the theme of "Ahoy Landlubbers". Here is what I created for inspiration!
I started by making the ship stamp from the Victorine Originals Ship Set my focal point of the card.  It is simply stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink on white paper.  I die cut the image out with a Cottage Cutz stitched square die.  The background was created by using various strips of paper from DCWV's Beach House stack and making them into banners and adhering them to my card base.
The sentiment is from the V.O. Floral and Sayings stamp set and I stamped it on vellum with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  A couple of brads held the vellum in place.
So, now on to the details on how to play along with the challenge...
Head on over to the Victorine Originals blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s that follow the above theme and/or color scheme. They do not have to use Victorine Originals stamps on them. We can't wait to see what you create!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Cardinal Wreath Card

Hello everyone!  Today I am changing things up a bit and sharing a Christmas card with you.  This one features the Layered Cardinal Die from Gina Marie Designs.
Honestly, this bird is stunning!  I love all the different layers that you can ink to add extra dimension.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Fired Brick and Weathered Wood on the cardinal and Mowed Lawn on the wreath.  Speaking of the wreath, that was created by using the two larger sizes of the GMD Regal Doily Circle Die simultaneously.  I think it made a wonderful wreath, don't you?
The two base layers of the card were die cut with GMD stitched rectangle dies.  The zig zag stamp along the sides of the woodgrain panel is a BoBunny Stitches stamp.  I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink on it.  The sentiment is from APB Let It Snow stamp set, and that was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I used my Hampton Art Stamp perfect with all of the stamps on this card.
That bow up at the top...it is from the GMD Ice Skate die set.  I embellished the wreath with Xmas Red Stickles.  All of the papers used on this card were from DCWV's Merry Memories stack.
The adhesives I used were Tombow Xtreme, ATG, foam tape and Zig 2 Way pen.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
