SheetLoad of Seminarian Christmas Cards

Hello all! Today I am sharing cards I made to send to the seminarians who are studying to become priests from our diocese. There are 20 cards in all and were made using the November 2024 SheetLoad of Cards sketch
16 of the cards were created with a blue theme. The background papers for all cards were from The Paper Studio's Star of Bethlehem 8.5x11 paper pad. The patterned paper for the narrow strips and the focal point were from Echo Park's Silent Night 6x6 paper pad. Those cut aparts meant that I didn't need to stamp images or sentiments! Love that!
I didn't have enough quantity of the blue scene background papers, so I ended up using a tan background scene from the same paper pad. With the different accent colors, I think they turned out nice too! I made a total of 4 in this color palette. I didn't add any embellishments or dimension to these cards to help with mailing. Two are headed to Rome, and I didn't want any postage delays! Adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG. On a side note, I did switch the position of the panel of paper strips on the cards depending on what I wanted visible on the background paper. Feel free to move around elements on sketches to make them your own!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

My fifth and final project of the week is a 5x7 graduation card. My oldest son graduates in May, so I have been working ahead to make cards for all the graduations we will be invited to!
The focal point of this card is a stamp from the May 2023 KOM, Bloom in Color. I stamped it with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink, then heat embossed it with Wow! clear gloss embossing powder. I just love that shine! The layers of the focal point were die cut with Cottage Cutz Stitched Rounded Rectangle dies. It was popped up with foam tape onto the card.
The patterned papers are from Echo Park's Graduation 12x12 collection. The tassel was made with Midnight Trendy Twine and the final embellishment was a trio of GMD New Years sparkle enamel dots. Additional adhesives used on this card include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG.

Hello all! Welcome to Day 4 of my Growing in Unity week. I am thrilled to be able to showcase Unity Stamp Co. products every day this week. Make sure you follow along and comment on my blog each day for a chance to win $20 Unity gift certificates sponsored by Unity Stamp Co!

Today is a hard day for me. It is my mom's birthday, but she passed away three months ago. With that being said, I chose to create a SheetLoad of Sympathy cards for today's project.
The focal point for these cards are stamps from Unity's I Consider You Special stamp set. It shows that it isn't available at Unity right now, which is a bummer because I use that set SO MUCH! I still linked it with an old blog post link in case they bring it back because it is a great one for sure. The sentiment was stamped with VersaFine Clair Morning Mist and the floral image was stamped with Scrapbook.com Soft Lavender. As I mentioned earlier, these cards are based on the April 2023 SheetLoad of Cards sketch. The patterned paper is from The Paper Studio's Katherine 6x6 pad. I loved the soft lavenders in it! I accidentally got a little chop happy with the first paper, so I ended up improvising and making 8 cards instead of the 6 I originally intended. More cards is never a bad thing, right?!
The background solid colors (sage green and navy) are from Scrapbook.com's Peppermint A2 cardstock pad. To be honest, I was looking for an excuse to use a chunk of that pad because it is the only A2 size one that I have and a little out of place in my cupboard. Those colors worked great for sympathy cards! The foliage die cut was from Sizzix Thinlits Wild Blooms #2 and Recollections silver cardstock. Adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG. To embellish, I added a trio of small Park Lane silver gems

Today my project is a gift tag for a jar of jam.

I started with watercolor paper and die cut the decorative tag. I then stamped the image from Unity's May 2019 KOM, Sweetness, Miracles, & Wishes with Scrapbook.com hybrid black ink. I love that that ink works for both watercoloring and alcohol markers! Once that was thoroughly dry, I used Distress Oxide inks and an aqua brush to watercolor the image. The colors I used were: Candied Apple, Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany, Lucky Clover, Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo, and Pumice Stone. I let that thoroughly dry again, then added the sentiment strip, which was also stamped from the same stamp set, with foam tape. Last of all, I embellished the tag with a Cherry Latte Trendy Page Dot, Holly Berry Trendy Twine, and gold pearl pen dots.

Today my project is a bee themed thank you card.

The focal point of this card is an image from the May 2023 KOM, Bloom in Color. I stamped it with Scrapbook.com hybrid black ink, then colored it with Artify alcohol markers and die cut around it with a GMD wonky stitched rectangle die. The sentiment was also from the same stamp set. Patterned papers are from DCWV's Honey Dear paper pad. Adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG. To embellish, I added a trio of GMD New Years sparkle enamel dots.

GIU Gal Day#1

Hello all! Welcome to Day 1 of my Growing in Unity week. I am thrilled to be able to showcase Unity Stamp Co. products every day this week. Make sure you follow along and comment on my blog each day for a chance to win $20 Unity gift certificates sponsored by Unity Stamp Co!

On to my first project...a set of TWELVE masculine birthday cards.
These were created using Jess Crafts' 12x12 Paper Busting Template #21 sketch.  I simply adjusted the orientation of the card for the two types of cards. This first one uses patterned paper from DCWV's Guy stack and Unity Say It Big dies and stamp set. The stamp was inked with Scrapbook.com Cinnamon ink. The die cut panel was popped up with foam tape. Other adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG. GMD Peacock clear enamel dots were the perfect embellishment.
The second set of cards used the same patterned paper, but a different stamp set. This time I used Unity's I Consider You Special stamp set with Scrapbook.com Cinnamon ink and die cut around it with a GMD slash stitched rounded square die. I added two leaf die cuts from the Sizzix Wild Blooms #2 set. The green leaf was inked with SB.com Olive ink and popped up with foam tape. Other adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG. GMD Rainbow foil enamel dots were the perfect finishing touch.

Husker Birthday Card

Hello all! I have a niece and a nephew who are in the marching band for the Nebraska Huskers, so when my nephew recently had his birthday, I knew what theme I wanted to use for his card! Here is the finished product.
The background patterned paper is from The Paper Studio's Boys Will Be Boys paper pad. I distressed around the outside of it with Scrapbook.com Leather ink. The Husker logo was traced and cut with my Silhouette Cameo and SCAL 4 software. The red layer is Oracal 651 vinyl which makes adhering it to the white layer a snap. That was popped up to the card base with foam tape. The brown cardstock strip was dry embossed with a folder that has tiny bubbles on it to mimic a football. Before gluing that strip down, I wrapped Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine around it three times and tied a knot in the twine as well. Once the brown strip was glued on, I used a variety of circle dies and punches to make the sentiment panel. That stamp is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags set and was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. It was also popped up with foam tape on the top and bottom edges of the circle. The finishing touch was a trio of red gems in the top right corner.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
