Today my project is a gift tag for a jar of jam.
I started with watercolor paper and die cut the decorative tag. I then stamped the image from
Unity's May 2019 KOM, Sweetness, Miracles, & Wishes with
Scrapbook.com hybrid black ink. I love that that ink works for both watercoloring and alcohol markers! Once that was thoroughly dry, I used Distress Oxide inks and an
aqua brush to watercolor the image. The colors I used were:
Candied Apple,
Fired Brick,
Aged Mahogany,
Lucky Clover,
Fossilized Amber,
Vintage Photo, and
Pumice Stone. I let that thoroughly dry again, then added the sentiment strip, which was also stamped from the same stamp set, with
foam tape. Last of all, I embellished the tag with a
Cherry Latte Trendy Page Dot,
Holly Berry Trendy Twine, and
gold pearl pen dots.
