New DCWV Flip Through Videos

Victorine Originals Challenge #4 ~ 4th of July

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the Victorine Originals blog with the theme of 4th of July. Here is the card that I created for inspiration!

I started by stamping the VO Firework Explosion stamp with Versamark on white cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. I then die cut it out with a GMD stitched rectangle die and inked around the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink.

I then took Distress Inks in Festive Berries, Antique Linen, and Salty Ocean and created color bursts on the separate fireworks. I used a paper towel to wipe the excess ink off of the white embossing.

Here is a close up of the details of the stamped panel on the finished card.

I added a layer of red metallic paper from DCWV's Bright & Pastel foil stack. It is die cut with a GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die. I added a sentiment from Victorine Originals' All Occasion Set. It was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and I used my stamping tool to align it.

The embellishments I used were Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine and Patriotic Sparkle Enamel Dots

Love Has Wings Butterfly Card

Hello again, today is once again my day to post on the Victorine Originals blog! Two weeks ago I shared THIS butterfly card with you, and today is another butterfly card, but with an entirely different feel to it!

I started with a piece of white cardstock and stamped and embossed the gorgeous butterfly wing from the V.O. Wings Stamp Set. Then I watered down black and yellow acrylic paint to splatter it over the white cardstock. After that I die cut it with a GMD Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die. The patterned paper is from DCWV's Country Floral stack and I die cut that with a GMD stitched rectangle die and cut a slit partway across from the right side to show the wing stamp.

To dress up the rest of the front I added Bumblebee Trendy Twine and an unbranded tag die cut. I stamped a sentiment from the Wings Stamp Set and added three matte finish yellow enamel dots.

S'mores Gift Set

Happy Monday! Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog. I have a niece who turned 3 yesterday and she loves roasting marshmallows. I thought the S'more gift box and adapted s'more card from JGW S'more Fun would be perfect for her!

This s'more card was adapted from the gift card holder card that is in the file. I simply omitted the middle pieces that would hold the gift card. I used solid color cardstock (mostly scraps!) for it and inked around the outside of most of the cuts with brown chalk ink.

I added a 3 to the heart because it is for a 3rd birthday. The bow of Cherry Latte Trendy Twine and some white gel pen stitching were the finishing touches on this card.
