Handy WOman Cards!

Hello!  Have you been inspired by the recent cards I have been posting for the SumMore Fun blog using the Handy Man Pack?  Today's project is very different.  It is for the handy WOMEN in your lives!  I know many women who would love and deserve to get a card like this one.  I used the Raisin Boat Nailed It stamp set to create these.
I started with watercolor paper and a 4x6" acrylic block.  I smeared Distress Inks in the following colors onto the cube in random areas: Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, and Seedless Preserves.  I then spritzed the block with water and flipped it over onto the watercolor paper, sat a heavy object onto the block and let it sit for 5 minutes before removing the block.  I was thrilled by the way it turned out!  Once it was completely dry, I cut it in half to make 2 cards from the one background.

I used the an embossing buddy over the whole inked panel and positioned the image stamps where I wanted them.  Using a stamp platform, I stamped the images 3 times with white pigment ink to make sure I had great coverage on the watercolor paper, then heat embossed with white powder.  I kept the cards simple, only matting the panel with solid colors of cardstock, then stamping the sentiment in Candy Shop Pink ink.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
