Two Shall Become One Card

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  Today I am posting for the SumMore Fun blog.  Time is winding down quickly to get products from SumMore Fun.  The store will close at midnight on January 11th, so don't wait to get your hands on $5 stamp sets!  The stamp set I used to create this card is called Damask Elegance.  That set is perfect for wedding cards!
I started by making the background pink layer using solid cardstock with Scrapbook.com Pink Lemonade ink and my stamp platform with the large damask stamp from Damask Elegance.  I die cut that with a GMD eyelet elegance rectangle die and used Bearly Art glue to adhere it to the metallic silver layer.  I wrapped white seam binding around the center line, then adhered it to the card base.  It is hard to see in the photo, but I also used my scoring board to emboss lines 1/4" from the outside of the white card base on all edges of the front.
The sentiment layer was also stamps from Damask Elegance.  The outer element was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Silver Glitter powder.  The sentiment was stamped with Pink Lemonade ink.  I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut both of the shaped layers, glued them together with Bearly Art glue and popped them up with Scotch foam tape.  To embellish, I added a bow of the white seam binding and a trio of silver enamel dots.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
