Hello Trendy Twine fans! Today the whole TT DT is sharing creations using these adorable Kraft Mini Take-Out Boxes and Mini Wooden Scoops. Be sure to stop by the Trendy Twine blog to see all of the amazing projects! I created a jack-o-lantern out of mine.
I started by measuring the sides of the Kraft Mini Take-Out Box and cutting orange patterned paper slightly smaller than the sides. I then added a jack-o-lantern face that I cut using a file from SVG Attic's Pumpkin Patch set. The tag was created with a Green Gingham Tag-Its, Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dot, APB Happy Halloween stamp set and Lime Licorice Trendy Twine. For the handle, I cut 6 strands of Lime Licorice TT and working with 2 strands held together, braided it. I then used liquid starch on it to make it hold it's shape. The curly q's of twine were made by saturating it in starch and wrapping it around a pen. Once dry, it holds that cute shape!
Last, but definitely not least, I added a Mini Wooden Scoop to the front. I wrapped some Lime Licorice Trendy Twine around the handle and then stamped a sentiment using the APB Happy Halloween set. For that sentiment, I actually used my index finger instead of an acrylic block to cling the stamp to. That allowed the stamp to curve with the spoon while stamping.
