Rose Valentine's Day Cards

Hello all! This is my second batch of Valentine's Day card that I will send out soon.
The patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's U+Me paper pad. The sentiment stamp was from the Hero Arts V-day mini messages and was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black. That stamp set was a gift from the amazingly talented Ilda Dias. You can check out her blog HERE.
Now let's get down to the REAL reason for this post...THAT ROSE!! I can't believe how real looking the layered stamps from Crafty Meraki Rose Garden turned out! For the flower, I used Scrapbook.com Rose inks #1-4. For the leaf, I used Scrapbook.com inks in Pear, Olive, and Pine. Some of the layers I did stamp twice for better coverage, so using a stamp platform of some kind is a must with these type of stamps. Seeing each layer add more and more dimension was amazing! I didn't want to waste any part of what I stamped, so I used my precision scissors to cut along the outer edge of the leaf, placed the top of the scalloped heart die under the leaf and proceeded to center the rose within the middle fo the die and die cut it with my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. That was adhered with foam tape to the card. I didn't add any additional embellishments because I feel that rose speaks volumes and didn't want to take any attention away from it.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Final UFO (UFO Post #12)

Hello all! This is the very last of the STACK of unfinished projects I had on my craft table. The tag, black die cut circle, and background paper were random pieces I wanted to tie together to use up!
The patterned papers were random ones I had received in a paper swap years ago, as was the tag. I die cut the flower and sentiment strip, adding a sentiment from Raisin Boat's No Loss For Words stamp set. Two button brads and a double bow of Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine were the final embellishments. And just like that, I have a much cleaner creating space! It took me a while to work through all of the random pieces, but in all, I was able to create 132 cards in all with those elements! If you are interested in seeing the other cards I created in this series, you can find them HERE.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Distress Ink Confirmation Card

Hello all! Today I am sharing a Confirmation card that I created with Distress Inks on the focal panel.
I used Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Fired Brick and inked a large acrylic block, spritzed it with water, then pressed it onto watercolor paper, adding somthing to weigh the block down and left it for 5 minutes. Once I removed the acrylic block, I dried the paper with my heat gun and went to work creating the rest of the card! The background paper was from DCWV's Gold Foil 6x6 paper stack. The cross was die cut from white glitter paper from DCWV's Whites 6x6 paper stack. That die cut was the GMD scroll cross die. I embellished with GMD gold foil enamel dots and used foam tape to pop up a sentiment that was stamped from Raisin Boat's Handle With Prayer set using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and clear embossing powder.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Retro Valentine's Treats

Hello all! I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with a Valentine's Day treat idea. Medium Candy Bags are the perfect way to package little treats to gift, so that is what I used for today's project. They fit 6 Hershey's hearts perfectly!
As I previously mentioned, I added the chocolates to Medium Candy Bags and dressed them up with a tag. The tag was created with the following products: Posy Large Tag-ItsAPB You & Me stamp set with Color Box Chalk warm red ink, a Candy Cane Trendy Page Dot, patterned paper from Crate Paper's Oh Darling 6x6 paper pad, thin washi tape, Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine, a Round Little Baseball Player Retro Tag, and a Round Little Party Dress Retro Tag. Adhesives used on the tag were Bearly Art precision glue and foam tape.
Once the tags were completed, I used two strands of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine to wrap around the Medium Candy Bags and through the hole in the tag to tie a bow. Don't those retro tag images just make you smile?!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
