Growing In Unity Day 5
Here is my final card for this week:
I make a lot of sympathy cards, and I thought this was fitting as I am sad it is my last day for GIU. This card was created with the Everything More stamp set. I have used that set SO MUCH! If you don't have it, you probably need it ;) I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear powder. Then I stamped the border with VersaMark and heat embossed with copper powder and used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut that layer plus a shadow layer in black. That layer was popped up with foam tape. I think the embossing adds a lot of elegance to the card! Patterned papers are from the Craft Smith Natural Luxury paper pad. I used a border die and a cross die near the bottom of the card and embellished with a tie of white seam binding. Thursday, July 29, 2021

Monday through Friday this week I will be posting a new project every day with the hopes to inspire you. Please consider becoming a follower by blog and/or Facebook page if you like what you see! I'm creating a wide variety of themes to show how verasatile their stamps are! Here is my fourth card of the week:
I wanted to make another fun card, so that is what I did! I absolutely LOVE the So Glad You Were Born stamp set from Unity! It is the cutest birthday set. I normally don't craft a whole lot with purples for some reason, so I decided that would be the focal color. The stamps were stamped using Scrapbook.com hybrid black ink, which is safe to color with alcohol markers. I used Artify alcohol markers. The cake was cut out with my Brother Scan N Cut. The background dies are GMD Triple Layer Background dies (I only used two layers). The turquoise layer was die cut with the largest GMD doily die. All patterned papers are from DCWV's Confetti Party stack. You can see a flip through of that stack on my YouTube channel if you wish! I adhered all the layers with Bearly Art glue except the cake which was popped up with foam tape. To embellish, I used some glitter dots and Grape Fizz Trendy Twine along the sentiment strip.Wednesday, July 28, 2021
Growing In Unity Day 3
Hello all! Welcome to Day 3 of my Growing in Unity week! What an honor to be able to participate in this fun experience. Monday through Friday this week I will be posting a new project every day with the hopes to inspire you. I'm trying to create a wide variety of themes to show how verasatile their stamps are! Everyone who comments on my posts this week will be entered into a drawing for two $20 gift certificates to Unity Stamp Co. Isn't that so generous of them to donate those prizes?
Here is my third card of the week:
The stamp set that I used to create this card is Unity's Totally & Utterly Amazing (KOM 5/13). Several of the stamps in that set have a great vintage vibe to them. Both the image and sentiment were stamped in brown ink onto kraft cardstock. I also stamped the image onto four different patterned papers from the DCWV Heirloom stack and fussy cut around the shirts and large necktie to paper piece them onto the kraft paper. I then added details with white pencil and die cut two layers with GMD Big and Little Chain Slimline dies. The kraft layer was popped up with foam tape, and I added a small embellishment with a white jute ribbon.

Without further ado, here is my first card of the week:
I used a past Kit of the Month called In Love with Love (KOM 6/14) to create this card. If you haven't looked at this kit, I highly recommend it. It is filled with gorgeous stamps! I stamped the tower of cups and sentiment with Scrapbook.com hybrid black ink and colored the cups with Artify alcohol markers. I wrapped Twisted Gumball Trendy Twine around the focal panel and added a bow of it as well. The patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's Pixey Stix paper pad and I finished off the card with a trio of matte white enamel dots on the left side. I used Bearly Art glue as the adhesive.Remember to keep stopping by my blog and commenting all week for a chance to win one of 2 $20 GC to Unity!

Skye 3rd Birthday Card
Hello all! Do you know any Paw Patrol fans? My daughter is definitely one of them! She just celebrated her third birthday and she wanted a Skye birthday card and cake. Gotta love the kids that just think mom can achieve anything ;) Anyway, here is the card I made for her.
All patterned papers are from the DCWV Confetti Party stack. It is gorgeous and as you can see on the balloons, some papers have a holographic foil treatment. The Skye was simply an image from the internet that I printed off and cut around with my Brother Scan N Cut. I popped up that up with foam tape and added GMD rainbow bling rhinestones around the image. The 3 was designed in my SCAL 4 software, cut on the Cameo and was also popped up with foam tape. You can see somewhat in the picture below that I covered the whole number with clear Wink of Stella glitter because my daughter absolutely loves "gwittah"! The wording is from a retired stamp set, but it worked perfectly for this card. The best part of all is that Autumn loved this card to pieces!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
P.S. If you would like to see a flip through of the DCWV Confetti Party stack, I have this one up on YouTube!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Hibiscus Treat Packet
Hello all! Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with a fun summer themed project that features Lime Grapesicle Trendy Twine. Did you know this twist is intended to be used for Halloween or Mardi Gras projects? As you can see, it is perfect for summer or any time projects too. I started with a Grape Treat Packet and added a stamped hibiscus flower from a Pink and Main mini stamp set using Scrapbook.com inks in Rubber Ducky, Succulent, Soft Lavender, Parisian Purple, and Mardi Gras. I cut that out with my Brother Scan N Cut and left a thin white border around it so it would pop against the purple background. I then glued Grape Fizz Sequins around the image. At the top, I used a hole punch to punch both cardstock layers, added Lime Orangesicle Trendy Page Dots and strung three strands of Lime Grapesicle Trendy Twine through those holes and tied a bow. I filled the included zip top bag with Apple-O's candy, which matched the twine perfectly!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Popsicle Friendship Card
Hello all! Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with a fun summer themed project that features Lime Grapesicle Trendy Twine. Did you know this twist is intended to be used for Halloween or Mardi Gras projects? Guess what? I used it because I love the bright colors and they work perfect for summer. I encourage you to do the same with any of your "traditional" craft supplies. Use them for something new and unexpected!
This was a fairly simple card. The background has washi tape strips in green and purple on it and I added strips of Lime Grapesicle Trendy Twine around the washi tape. I glued a bow of Lime Grapesicle Trendy Twine on the center wrap of twine, then added the stamped sentiment from Friendship Stamps in purple ink. The twin popsicles were svg files and I inked the edges of the cuts for extra dimension. Grape Fizz Sequins added a little sparkle to the card front and all that was matted with green and purple cardstock to tie the color scheme together. Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
