Hello all! Welcome to Day 3 of my Growing in Unity week! What an honor to be able to participate in this fun experience. Monday through Friday this week I will be posting a new project every day with the hopes to inspire you. I'm trying to create a wide variety of themes to show how verasatile their stamps are! Everyone who comments on my posts this week will be entered into a drawing for two $20 gift certificates to Unity Stamp Co. Isn't that so generous of them to donate those prizes?
Here is my third card of the week:
The stamp set that I used to create this card is Unity's Totally & Utterly Amazing (KOM 5/13). Several of the stamps in that set have a great vintage vibe to them. Both the image and sentiment were stamped in brown ink onto kraft cardstock. I also stamped the image onto four different patterned papers from the DCWV Heirloom stack and fussy cut around the shirts and large necktie to paper piece them onto the kraft paper. I then added details with white pencil and die cut two layers with GMD Big and Little Chain Slimline dies. The kraft layer was popped up with foam tape, and I added a small embellishment with a white jute ribbon.
Remember to keep stopping by my blog and commenting all week for a chance to win one of 2 $20 GC to Unity! If you missed a past day, you can find it here:
I really like how you put the focal part of the card on kraft card stock; it makes it pop against that green. Great card!
ReplyDeleteOh WOW, a slimline masculine card! I've only made one slimline card so far - I haven't taken the plunge with this style yet. At first I thought it might be a fad but I still see them everywhere so the slimline style is here to stay and I need to try it again. This is such a cool stamp - I adore Unity's vintage stamps the most. I really like the dotted chain die you used too!
ReplyDeleteLove your paper piecing! I have never seen this image used before. I need to go back and look and some of those older KOTM's!
