Growing In Unity Day 5

Hello all! Welcome to Day 5 of my Growing in Unity week!  It has been a wonderful week.  Thank you to everyone who has commented on my posts.  Please consider becoming a follower by blog and/or Facebook page if you like what you have seen!  Everyone who comments on my posts this week will be entered into a drawing for two $20 gift certificates to Unity Stamp Co.  Isn't that so generous of them to donate those prizes?

Here is my final card for this week:
I make a lot of sympathy cards, and I thought this was fitting as I am sad it is my last day for GIU.  This card was created with the Everything More stamp set.  I have used that set SO MUCH!  If you don't have it, you probably need it ;)  I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear powder.  Then I stamped the border with VersaMark and heat embossed with copper powder and used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut that layer plus a shadow layer in black.  That layer was popped up with foam tape.  I think the embossing adds a lot of elegance to the card!  Patterned papers are from the Craft Smith Natural Luxury paper pad.  I used a border die and a cross die near the bottom of the card and embellished with a tie of white seam binding.
Remember to keep stopping by my blog and commenting all week for a chance to win one of 2 $20 GC to Unity!  If you missed a past day, you can find it here:

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!  Make sure to check back next week for the winners of the gift certificates!

  12. Such a beautiful and tranquil sympathy card! These can be so hard to make. I like the neutral colours and comforting message. You had an awesome, creative, and inspirational array of cards this week and I enjoyed it very much! Congrats again on your GIU week! I'd love to do this myself some day! I had better start collecting some more Unity Stamps!
